How to End a Bad Luck Streak

2020 has had more than its fair share of bad luck so far and I bet that you are feeling the same way. One bad thing has happened after another and we are all wondering when the downward spiral will turn around. The good news is that even when the world is turning upside down, there are things that we can personally do to stop a cycle of bad luck and make the most of any situation.

Last summer I found myself in a streak of bad luck after rocks chipped the windshield on my car on the freeway. A few days later my car battery died and the cell phone holder in my car broke. I’m usually a positive person, but I have to admit that if I wasn’t conscious of my energy I could have fallen into a deeper cycle of bad luck. Instead I faced each situation head on and repaired or replace the broken items as quickly as possible so that they would not overwhelm and cause me to despair. Had I stayed in a state of worry and frustration (low vibration), I would have been apt to attract more problems into my life and create a bigger cycle of bad luck for myself.

When we are hit with one negative event after another it is easy to slip into a downward spiral where we continue attracting one bad thing after another. It is important when bad things happen to recognize what is going on, adjust our mindset and shift our vibration into higher frequencies in order to stop the downward cycle and get back into joyfulness where we attract positive rather than negative things.

You may know some negative people who constantly complain about everything and criticize others. Have you ever noticed how they always have a list of bad things that are happening to them (victim mindset)? Sadly these people have no idea that their negativity is attracting the problems that are plaguing them. If they did, they would do something about it and reverse their misfortune, but they don’t.

The Law of Attraction

This is the Law of Attraction (aka Law of Vibration), and whether we understand it or not quantum physics is behind these laws which have a real bearing on what we attract both good and bad. The brilliant inventor, Nikola Tesla once said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” Everything is energy and the energy that we send out into the universe has a real impact upon our reality and what we attract. Our thoughts, for example, are a form of energy. They affect our feelings and they also interact with the quantum field, which then manifests our thoughts into our reality.

One of the best known teachers of the Law of Attraction is Abraham Hicks. If you are not familiar with her teachings, watch the following video:

So how did I end my cycle of bad luck? I turned it around by becoming mindful of what was happening and focused on raising my vibration, which began with my thoughts. By staying positive and laughing at my problems, I reversed my bad luck streak in less than one week.

Throughout this pandemic I have been mindful to be happy, to be healthy and to look for the positive side in everything that comes my way. Much of this comes in the form of accepting what I can’t change and changing what I have control over. I’m also meditating regularly, which has increased my level of mindfulness. In addition, I’m taking this time out to evaluate my priorities and plan the activities and projects that I really want to do when the pandemic has passed.

If you are going through a very difficult time right now, ask yourself what your challenging situations are trying to teach you. Pain can be a powerful teacher and motivator in our lives. Also follow the tips that I have provided to help you feel happy and hopeful. Focus on what you want and not on what you don’t want. Remember that energy flows where we put our attention. Also realize that the power is within you to turn your life around. After all, you were born to flourish and grow. Are you ready to rise?

Wishing you the best of luck,

Paul
